A few years ago, something strange occured in an old village named Perjanjen village. This village was different to another. Perjanjen village was derived from the javanese word  ” janji” means “ a promise”. According to the surrounding people, this village is unvisible village. It would appear at 6.00  pm and be die away when the sun rises. This thing vaguely revealed when my friend and I took a research in a village named ” Ringin Putih”. This village was not far enough from Perjanjen village.  They are side by side. The two of them separated by a river. Ringin putih is a village located in remote area. This village was recomended as the research subject of ours. This recomendation was proposed by the Dean of our faculty to search some compulsary project in order to full fill our research. The reason of giving this recomendation was this research related to my thesis writing and scientific project.
The location of Ringin Putih village was far enough from our faculty ,so my friends Jerry, Rey , and Monic decided to take a bus. We went at 2.00 pm. It took about three hours by bus. Actually, we didn’t want to go by bus because the location was remote area. If we took a bus , we have to walk to the destination about one hour by foot. It was really exhausted. After walking about several minutes, we felt tired and decided to break for a while in a small hut. However, there was no people passed by. Seems we were in a forest. We just saw trees, bird noises and air stream everywhere. Finally, we met some people were walking fastly. They looked in hurry. Whereas, the time pointed at 5.30 pm.
All of a sudden, an old men brought firewood accosted us.                                               “ Hey boys..where will you go?” , he said.
“ We want to go to Ringin putih village, sir. We will have some research. Do you know where it is?”
“Definitely, yes. After me!! we have to go quickly boys before sunset or you will trap here.”
  Really ?? ”
Monic looked curious about that. She frequently asked many questions to the old men along the road, but the old men just kept walking while carrying many firewoods on his back. So, we left that place right away.
“ Sir, could I ask something?” Jerry said.
“ Why didn’t we see people passed by ?”, “what kind of place is it?”
“ You just need to be silent and walk as far as you can to reach that.” While pointing out the river.
“ We need to cross the river boys, hurry up!!” he commanded.
“ Come on guys! it is almost evening. We need a shelter.”
“ Haaah.. I don’t wanna Rey!! Monic screamed
“ No! that’s impossible . We don’t have a canoe. This is deep river. are you mental?? Jerry said.
“ This river will subside right away and be a path. don’t worry!”
“ How come??”
At that time, the sun almost set. It is almost impossible. We have to cross a deep river without a canoe. Suddenly, the river subsided little by little and we could easily cross the river like a path.
“Oh ..thanks God, we are safe” said the old men.
“ Sir, you are lying. You are on purpose. We know that you try to fool us by saying that you knew Ringin Putih village right?”
“ Little girl.. here is Ringin Putih village. The village that we crossed just now was Perjanjen village.”
“My name is Soba. Who do you want to meet?”
“ We want to meet Mr.Didi.” said Jerry.
“Ooh I see, but his house is far from here. It would be better if you stay to my house. I will bring you there tommorow morning. It is too danger to go out in the evening”
“ Don’t bother your self ..sir.”
“ That’s ok!
We had no choice , so we decided to stay over night. We saw an old fashioned building with barks roof. It looked like a shack. we could feel there must be many mice and mosquito over there. From far away, seems a young beautiful girl sits by the door.
“ Uuuh.. what the hell is that? can you see that? who is she? a ghost ”, said Jerry.
“ You always complain all the time.” replayed Rey.
“ Hemm...She is my daughter.”
“What did she do?” asked Monic.
“ She is waiting for me”.
Then we entered the house. That house was not too large. We felt there is something strange to her daughter. She didn’t tell anything just smiling and noding her head down. The name is Soka. She was about 19 year-old  as same as our age. We thought that she has mental deficiency. She used unordinary language to communicate with her father. We guessed she was mute. However, her voice was clearly audible.
“ Baba..barrahh fadda hayyuna we sadda kokko rah?”
“We met in the Perjanjen village and I brought them here.”
“ Napponna dadakka boo waffa?”
“ Tommorow morning, they will leave.
“ Can you give them meals?”. Asked Mr. Soba to her daughter.
“Onna”, replayed Soka.
We try to ask Mr Soba what is trully happened. He said her daughter was a victim of curse. It begun when he was in 20 year old. In the early morning as usual, the young Soba started to collect fire woods in the place where Perjanjen village is located ,but on the way , he met his neighbour who was asking for a  his help to fall a big trees. He didn’t know that was a haunted tree. After cutting down the tree he felt tired and decided to take a nap for a while. Usually, he came back at 6 pm. But, the sun almost set and he did’t wake up. At that time, The Perjanjen village appeared.    All of a sudden, A young lady waked him up. After he got up, Mr Soba saw many people in his surrounding. They looked busy in trading activities. Mr. Soba realised that he is in a market with strange people. They wear odd clothes like away back in a kingdom age. Then, the young lady introduced her self. The name is Khana. She is beautiful lady with long black hair. She is Soka’s mother. That’s why Soka can’t speak as a human being use ordinary language. Because she is a half human.
After listening to Soka’s story, we decided to go bed early after having our dinner. In the next tomorrow morning, Mr. Soka waked us up and brought us to our destination in Mr Didi’s house. That morning , we didn’t see Soka at all. We asked to Mr. Soba he said Soka was sleeping. We carried on walking to the Mr. Didi. Mr. Didi’s house was far enough and passed a traditional market. Every people was looking at us in strange manner.
“What’s going on them? are we strangers? Jerry said.
“ look at their eyes..!” Monic said.
The surrounding people looked at us suspiciously. They seemed afraid of something. from far away, we saw some people waving their hands and came close to us hurriedly. There must be something strange behind this. According to the story of surrounding people, they thought that Mr Soba was mad. They said that Mr Soba married a ghost. Many people said he speaks to hisself every day and does something strange. On paranormal sight , Mr Soba married a ghost of haunted tree in front of his shack. Every night he spends his time by singing a song for her beloved  wife. However, we didn’t trust at all because we ever stayed over night with his daughter. To make us believe with their statement, Mr. Didi brought us to keep an eye on Mr. Soba’s house. All of sudden, Mr Soba’s house changed become small shack under a big tree. In this tree Mr Soba speaks to hisself every day.
