IN LOVE

Happiness is when meet partner of love

Little Shim

Once upon a time, in a farm near the wood, lived a rabbit in a small hole. Her name was Cici the Rabbit. She was pregnant at the time and eat a lot.

While she was looking for her favourite carrot in the farm, she found something round and white and look so fragile. That was an egg! She brought the egg to her house. She guessed that the egg was a duck’s egg because the colour was different with chicken’s egg. But there were no duck living near by, nor chicken to asking help hatching the egg. So she decided to hatch the egg herself.

One day, she gave a birth to lovely twins rabbit. At the same time, the egg cracked and a little yellow duck awoke. Cici the Rabbit named the duck Little Shim.

Little Shim and the twins rabbit played happily in the farm everytime their mother gathering food for them. When those three were drinking at a small pond, Little Shim saw his reflexion in the water. He saw that he was different with his brother and sister. He asked his mother why he looked different with them. And Cici the Rabbit told him how she found him as an egg.

‘So who is my mother? Where is she?’ asked Little Shim.

‘I don’t know, dear. Maybe you’ll find her southern in a beautiful lake across this wood. But it’s pretty far for you to walk. That lake lives by ducks and geese.’

‘May I find my family?’ asked him.

‘Oh dear, we are your family. But if you insist to find them, I let you go. But remember, you have to be really careful because the wood is quite dangerous.’ Cici the mother let the Little Shim go and wish him luck.

In the wood, Little Shim felt so alone. The wood was so dark and scary. Then he met a parrot. He asked Mr Parrot the path to the lake. Mr Parrot said that if Little Shim can answer his question, he will tell Little Shim the answer.

‘What do you think come first, phoenix or the fire?’

‘Hm,’ Little Shim thought for a moment, ‘circle doesn’t have beginning.’ answered him.

‘You’re right. Follow the rock path, you’ll find a swamp. That’s the nearest path but quiet dangerous. If you follow the mud path, you’ll get there in a week. It’s up to you.’

Little Shim decided to follow the rock path. When he reach the swamp, he was so surprised because it’s full of snakes. Fortunately, Little Shim was a clever duck. He asked one of the snakes so that he can meet the Queen.

‘What do you want? You’re coming to our house to become our meal?’ said the Queen.

‘No, Sir. But if you let me through, I’m offering you something that makes you happy. But if you don’t, it’ll fly away.

‘Alright, tell me then!’

‘If you insist, Sir. There will coming hundreds of birds to this wood to rest from far flight. They asked me to check this wood if it’s save or not from the beast. I should give a code in the end of this swamp to tell them if it’s save. If I don’t give the signal, they will not rest here but continue their flight. If that’s happen, you’ll lose a chance to get delicious meal. So please let me through, Sir.’

‘That will be delicious free meal then,’ said the Queen to herself. ‘Now off you go!’ she let Little Shim to go.

Little Shim reach the end of the swamp.  He rushed toward the path out of the wood. It will be very dangerous if the snakes realize they had been deceived and run after him.

After the swamp, Little Shim reached a river. He met turtles, sunbathing.

‘Excusme, do you know how I get to the lake?’ asked Little Shim.

A wise turtle answered, ‘Oh, you’re almost there. Just follow this river. You look so tired. Where have you been? Lets drink first and tell us your story.’

Little Shim accepted the turtles kindness. He told them his story.

‘So I’m here. Hope finding my family. Thanks for the clue and the water Messrs Turtle. Now I have to continue my journey.

Little Shim followed the river. When he reached the bushes and pass it, he found himself admiring the view in front of him. A very beautiful view of a lake and mountains and sky. Then he saw some little ducks swimming, playing near their mother.

‘Are you my mother?’ asked Little Shim.

‘Oh! Are you my lost egg?’ the duck mother hug Little Shim tightly and introduce him to his brothers and sisters. Little Shim told his mother about Cici the mother and his adventure. Since then, he lived in the lake with his family happily, so glad that he finally able to find his real family.

Describing person

I met him on my first day at university. He helped me fill my student application for the college.

At first, I care nothing about him. But then I know more about his character. One thing that impressed me a lot was he never touch my bare skin. I don’t like somebody stranger touch my bare skin as if they were close with me. I adore him because of that. I also realize that he had been kind to me since the first time we met. He listened to my complaining about everything, without even complained! He took me to fun places. He answer my questions about life—unexpectedly just the same as I hope somebody going to answer.

He cared a lot about me. Always finding out where I am, and when my class was over, even I never told him my activities. And all of the sudden, I already fall for him.

Be Tidy

‘Lily! How many times I told you to clean up your room!’ a mother was yelling to her daughter.

‘I’ll do it later after school, Mom. Bye!’ Lily took her bag and ran.

Since this week, Lily never cleaned up her bed nor her room. She awoke every morning, took a bath, eat breakfast and then just went to school without did her duty. Mom so tired with her daughter behavior these days. She didn’t know why Lily has changed.

That night, Lily went to bed earlier. She felt so tired, so she just laid on her messy bed. In the middle of the night, Lily awoke because she felt strange. Her whole body felt so itchy. When she looked at herself in the mirror, she screamed! She ran to her mother’s room and cried.

‘Mom! I can’t sleep. I don’t know why my whole body is so itchy.’

‘Come here, let me look.’ She pulled her daughter to her hug. ‘Oh! Your body’s turn red! Have you cleaned up your bed before sleep, sweetheart?’ mom rubbed Lily’s body with medicated powder.

‘I haven’t,’ Lily wiped her tears.

‘That must be why it’s happen. I yelled at you every morning, don’t I? The germs love messy place, so they come to your bed, since your room so mess up. So, will you clean it up and be tidy from now?’ said Mom kindly.

‘Yes, Mom. I promise.’

Since that night her room were always clean and tidy. She became a girls who is very sensitive about hygiene. And never again Mom saw her room mess up.

Roro Ayu

A long time ago, in Majapahit era, far away in a village of a small kingdom between a beautiful valley, lived a daughter of Ki Suryo named Roro Ayu. She was sweet as a peach, her skin was glowing like a sun, and her hair was so black, as black as the night. People said she was the descendant of God of Beauty. Sadly, she was unable to speak. But still all of the men in the village admire her. Many youth proposed her, but she refused. Even husbands of wives loves her, and make their wives jeaulous. Whenever Roro Ayu walked passed the village, every eye remain on her.

Someday, some wives gathering around and talk about her. They hated Roro Ayu because their husband always talked about her. And then they decided that Roro Ayu must not lived in the village until she became a wife of somebody. Or else, many marrieges will be broken. So they came to Roro Ayu’s house and told her to leave. Her father was so angry hearing their words, but Roro Ayu accepted the request open heartedly.

‘Don’t you worry, Father,’ said her. ‘I’ll be alright.’

In this chance, she went north to find the twins waterfall that she had heard from her mother who had died when she was kid. Need 13 days until she reached the waterfall. The view was so beautiful. She found a dry cave behind the waterfall. The cave was full of sparkling plants so she never been afraid when the night came. It’s like the god took care of her.

Everyday, after gathering food in the forest, she took a shower under the waterfall. She didn’t realize that she had been spied for three days by a man. Actually the man was a prince of the kingdom. The prince saw her for the first time when he was about to drink in the opposite river of Roro Ayu’s cave. He saw Roro Ayu taking shower above the waterfall. Then the prince tried to figured out about her more. He found himself fall for her.

Roro Ayu was so surprised when she saw a handsome man standing in front of her. He introduced himself as a traveler. He talked until midnight about his adventure, when suddenly the prince proposed her. Hearing him, Roro Ayu was so surprised. Not even a day she knew him, now she should answer difficult question. She liked that person, but she had not know him a lot.

When they were in silent, from the river appeared a shining blue light. Slowly, the light disappear, changed by a glowing pretty women, wore a beautiful dress. She was floating above the water. She really looked like Roro Ayu.

‘Roro Ayu my daughter, don’t be afraid, I’m your mother.’ said the god. ‘You’ve trough this hard life in this forest all alone and being expelled by your own people. Now I give your wish to be able to sing, my dear.’ She came closer to Roro Ayu and kiss her on her neck.

‘Now prince, please take care a good of her. She’ll become a wise queen in the future and a lovely mother to your children.’ Saying that, she then disappear.

‘What she says? Who is she?’ the prince looked at the spot where the god were gone.

‘My mother, she said’

Hearing that voice the prince was so surprised. He turned to Roro Ayu and yelled happily, ‘You can speak!’ he suddenly hugged Roro Ayu tightly.

‘Oh, I…’ Roro Ayu didn’t know what to say. She felt so warm when the Prince hug her. ‘You don’t tell that you are a prince,’

The prince let her off of his hug.

‘Well, I don’t really like people called my name everywhere I am. So I disguised myself as traveler. I’m sorry.’

‘I do,’ said Roro Ayu.

‘What?’

‘I said, I do?’

‘What—really? You accept my proposed?’ asked the prince.

‘Yes, I do,’ Roro Ayu’s face turn to pink.

The Prince brought her back to his kingdom in the morning. They married in front of their people. The king and the Queen accepted Roro Ayu. They also brought Roro Ayu’s father to live with them. The village people were so shock seeing her as a princess. Years later, the prince became the king and Roro Ayu became a wise queen of the kingdom.
